Logo Support for Dark & Light Mode
planned

It would be helpful to add a feature that allows users to switch logos automatically between dark mode and light mode. Many brands don’t have a mid-tone logo that works well on both backgrounds.
I’ve tried handling this using HTML-based logo switching, but it’s not a reliable solution. It often causes inconsistencies or errors across different platforms such as Apple Mail and Outlook.
A better solution would be to allow users to upload two separate logo versions:
One logo optimized for light mode (e.g., black text/logo)
One logo optimized for dark mode (e.g., white text/logo)
The system could then automatically switch between these logos based on the user’s theme preference. This would ensure better brand visibility, consistency across platforms, and a smoother experience for everyone.

Sachin Gurav I am also looking forward to having the dark mode features (not just the logo but also text styles etc.).
in the meanwhile I have a workaround idea for you for now: https://www.litmus.com/blog/the-ultimate-guide-to-dark-mode-for-email-marketers
There is a section about image optimizing. You can add some white stroke or something similar to keep the dark logo visible in dark mode.

Vladimir Poskrebyshev Thanks, I completely agree that dark mode support should ideally go beyond just logos (text styles, backgrounds, etc.), and I appreciate you sharing the Litmus guide. I’ve gone through similar approaches during my research.
That said, adding outlines, strokes, background patches, or mid-tone logos is not always a good or brand-safe solution. Many brands cannot modify their logo just for visibility, as it breaks brand guidelines and visual consistency. These workarounds may help temporarily, but they are not professional or scalable solutions.
I’ve explored multiple temporary fixes, such as:
Using mid-tone logos that work on both backgrounds
Adding outlines or strokes around logos
Placing logos on background color patches
CSS/HTML fallbacks for theme detection
However, all of these are workaround-based and not permanent solutions. They also introduce complexity and inconsistency across platforms like Apple Mail, Outlook, and others.
The bigger challenge is practicality at scale. In a large organization, it’s unrealistic to expect every email creator or marketer to rely on custom code—especially when many team members don’t have coding knowledge. Asking teams to “always use HTML/CSS” is not a sustainable workflow.
The most reliable and professional solution would be a native Stripo-level feature that allows users to upload two logo variants:
Light mode logo (e.g., dark text)
Dark mode logo (e.g., white text)
The system can then automatically switch the logo based on the user’s theme preference. This keeps branding intact, removes dependency on code, and works consistently across platforms.
So while the suggested workarounds help in the short term, a built-in dual-logo option would be the best long-term, scalable, and user-friendly approach.
