Edit Modules should not require access to Manage Projects

We have found out that it's not possible for our editor users to create/maintain Modules if they do not have the access to Manage Projects.
Managing Projects is a critical and sensitive setting that must not be granted to Editor users. These settings should be independant from each other.
What we want to achieve?
That our Editor users are able to create and maintain modules in a project just having View access to the project and Manage access to Modules. But not having Manage access on Projects.

Hello Ripol. Thank you so much for your request and input in improving the product. I wanted to share an update from our product team. We are planning a broader rework of the permissions system, and as part of this effort, the permissions for managing Modules will be separated from Project management access.
At this stage, the tentative target for this change is around the end of Q2 2026. Please note that this is an approximate timeframe and may still be subject to change as development progresses, but the use case you described is already taken into account in this redesign.

Marina Kryvenets that sounds great, thank you so much.
As you are globally reworking permissions, there was a similar topic we raised in the past regarding API connection settings.
Our editors should be able to "Export" the mail templates to our external mailing systems.
Currently there is an issue, because they need both "View" and "Manage" permission to be able to export, only "View" was not working.
And this is a security issue for us, our editors could be external agencies and they must not have access to see/edit the API keys for connect with our mailing systems.
Thank you so much,
Kind regards

Jorge Ripol Thanks for reaching out. Just to keep you in the loop: we’ve already created an internal task to decouple Modules permissions from Projects permissions as part of the broader permissions rework.
Our current estimate is to have this released around March 2026. Once it’s live (or if the timeline shifts), I’ll make sure to update you.
