It would be very useful to add annotations to saved modules. These would be different from regular comments and would apply to the module itself, not to a specific email.

Annotations would allow designers to communicate important usage guidelines to anyone building an email with that module. For example:

"You can change the background colour to blue or yellow for this module"

"Use only the primary or secondary button here"

"Keep this headline to a maximum of two lines"

Annotations should not be visible in the email by default. Instead, users could switch to an annotations mode to view them when needed.

This would be similar to annotations in Figma and clearly separated from default comments:

– Default comments are used for discussions and corrections in a specific email

– Annotations are used for long-term guidance between designers and email creators across all uses of a module
