We have received a feature request from our customer to add a ruler functionality in the editor to line up certain areas.

A simple ruler at the top or left will not bring much but if it is combined with guide lines (so that you can build your own grids) then it might be useful. I think especially people who use the banner block will use guide lines (other things you can control with consistent padding and margin but in banners you place elements manually)
