When you create your emails from scratch you have to either set all your email general settings from scratch or use some empty template.
With empty templates it is not a perfect solution because your team is fixing problems or bugs all the time. If I created a template let's say three months ago and there were some global bugs which resulted into incorrect HTML or CSS code this bug will still be in my old template. Because of that I have to create new empty templates every month to make sure that their code is correct.
What would work much better: Just add all the email style parameters in the the Workspace – Style Options. Now you have only font parameters there but you can also add something like "Default Email Settings" with the same set of elements we have in the editor. We set it up there, save it and whenever we create a new email chossing "empty template" you just apply all these parameters.
That was a basic way of using this feature. It will be even more useful this way:
– Add a button in the email designer to reset all your design parameters to the default values.
– Add possibility of having multiple pre-saved email settings with different names and selecting them in the email.
– Add possibility of updating your parameters right from your email. Plus if it is possible to have multiple sets of settings then you can either Update the current set or save as new.
